As a member of 1% for the Planet, we donate 1% of our annual sales to environmental nonprofits every year.
The global network fosters meaningful partnerships between businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations working to protect the planet. Together, we’re taking responsibility for the planet and all of our small actions to add up to make a world of difference! 1% staff evaluate the track record, credibility, and impact of nonprofit organizations and also verify the contributions made by the member companies.
Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia and 1% for the Planet, encourages businesses to think about the 1% as rent for living on this planet rather than philanthropy. Thousands of businesses, Final included, are happy to “pay the rent.” Collectively, 1% for the Planet members have given back more than $270 million to the environment.
In 2020 Final has supported nonprofits like Habits of Waste, 5 Gyres, and Global Inheritance through our membership with 1% for the Planet.
